We're fortunate to have so many unique grocery stores around. Although, I have to admit I miss Anderson's! There are so many stores that carry some of my favorite organic items, so I thought I'd share some of my staple buys and unique finds in Northwest Ohio.
Walt Churchills Market
Churchill's is unique because they're a local chain with two locations: Perrysburg and Maumee. Here are some of my favorites from there:

Beeler's bacon - this is the tastiest, thickest bacon with straight forward ingredients. We typically get a few of them because they tend to run out fast.
Charcuterie assortment - from their wide selection of cheeses and meats, I like their bresaola, lomo, and pepperoncinis (which are so hard to find options without food dye anywhere else).

Olipop - so glad I can find this here - they are often the first store I find newly released varieties that otherwise I can only find online! If you want to read my taste testing notes and favorite flavors, check out this post. Use my affiliate code: SATIATEDBLONDE if you want to try some out from their website.

Meat - they have (in my opinion) the tastiest grass-fed beef available in the grocery store. They also have specialty cuts, like this cowboy steak! Their grass-fed hotdogs are also a staple in our home, especially in the summer. And they have pepperoni's (small and large) with straightforward ingredients that I like using on our homemade sourdough pizza.

Organic Mustard - my hubby's favorite condiment, I like that we can find this there...and the hotdogs I mentioned above are tasty dipped in it!

Rotisserie Chicken - after being out all day running errands and grocery shopping, we often pick up one of their rotisseries for a quick dinner. I like that it has straightforward ingredients and no canola or soy oil. I use the bones to make stock so it's nice nothing goes to waste.
Zingerman's - If you're up for a trip to Ann Arbor, Zingerman's is a destination! However, my hubby was pleasantly surprised when WCM's started carrying some of their baked goods: raspberry rugelach, pies, brownies (he's taste tested them all and Buenos Aires is his favorite)
Produce - they do have some organic produce and if we can't find it at our local farmer's market, this is our first stop. Recently we were happy to get some organic green onions for taco night
Fresh Thyme
Organic relish - this is the first one I found with ingredients that I like
Olipop - a great place to stock up on my favorite flavors
Organic ice cream - My hubby likes their unique selection and recently tried Marco's Aztec chocolate and vanilla ice cream that was delicious!
Raspberry conserves - they have a variety of jams and jellies (seedless, too),
Salsa - I found one of my newer favorite green salsas here - Somos. They have other brands that aren't just the typical one that are at every other store too, so that's refreshing to see.
Chips - We were running low on my favorite organic corn chips and we found Siete's blue and yellow corn chips which were very thin but tasty and we like having for nachos!
Avocados - I like getting these from Costco when possible, but it's nice to know we can find these there. Another great topping for our nachos!
Onions - Organic onions are harder to find than I'd like. And I really like onions, lol! Check out this quick pickle onion post!
Cantaloupe - We found a good one there and can sometimes find a good smelling pineapple, too! I ended up making a sorbet out of this and ate some of it and used the rest in the base of my new favorite electrolyte smoothie when we were trying to clean out the freezer!
Sauces - So happy we can find some specialty sauces there, especially if I forget to order them from my usual place. Here we found organic soy sauce, tamari and teriyaki. I share more about my favorite sauces here. We use a mix of the sauces in making one of my hubby's specialties, General Tso's!
Whole Foods
Unfortunately the Toledo location has closed, but we still go to the Ann Arbor location if we are in the area, just an hour away!
Cold brew assortment - My hubby likes these for on the go and it seems there's a new one almost every time we go!
Chips - My husband likes that there are organic options and more chips here that I'll allow in our house than from any other place.
Pickles - They have almost every style of Grillo's! Click here to read my favorite pickle (lol, yes, I did a whole post on it))
Toothpaste - They have a few different options here, similar to ones I find online but it's nice I can get them in the store if I'm not stocked up.
Sauces - Let's talk about sauces...I'm really a homemade sauce girl all the way. But, my hubby talked me into trying a few of their 365 (house brand) sauces and I'm so glad we did! I shared a whole post dedicated to sauces in general that you can find here. But we like having the kung pao sauce for one of our tastiest, quick dinners. The enchilada sauce was the first one we started with and is good simmered down in meat or on nachos. We either have tried and enjoyed or often get Shaksuka, kung pao, enchilada, cream cheese, duck eggs, and it's another place to find organic mustard which is rare. We also like their raw goat yogurt, red potatoes, and asparagus.

Kroger
This is one of the only places I can find my favorite organic gummies. They have a surprisingly decent organic produce selection if we can't find what we need at the farm stand. (link to post coming soon)
The Fresh Market
I love that this store is here. It has a different feel than most grocery stores, but overall (unless something is on super sale) I find it's a little more expensive. That being said, I can often find very unique items here I cannot find at most stores, so it's worth swinging in from time to time in my opinion! The flowers here always look beautiful but they're a little pricey. That being said, if you're looking for a flower gift, I have always found what I needed here. When my favorite spice company is out of something for the season, I fall back on Morton and Bassett organic spices, like their organic basil. We've also picked up crystallized ginger and coconut aminos - the latter of which we use on our homemade General Tso's. You can read more about sauces we use here. My hubby likes their nitro and canned coffee selections, too! For chocolate, I like the Alter Eco mint every once in awhile! They also carry La Prefereida organic salsa. It's a little chunky, but good and has relatively straight forward ingredients. Speaking of straight forward ingredients, we were able to find some prosciutto that passed my test! Theres a great selection of Simply Mint gum chiclets - we got fennel and mint most recently. Read my review of gums (link coming soon).
Meijer
I like to pick up Olipop and Bilinski sausage when I'm here. They have the best prices on this sausage I've found!! Pretty sure this is the only other place (besides Plum Market) where I can find the pickled onions I like!
Costco
We end up getting a lot of food items here on our weekly or biweekly trips. One thing we like especially during the warmer months is a fresh avocado salsa (typically I only find it available in late summer) and chicken thighs - for shawarma, buffalo chicken dip, fried chicken, our homemade version of General Tso's, etc... (links to other chicken dishes coming soon!)
