Growing up, we only had the traditional canning jars. I came across a few different ones, including Weck (several styles) and Parfait. The typical canning jar I grew up with had a lid with a ring that screwed on the lid. The Weck jars have several parts, a rubber "seal" and clasps to hold the lid on. On the other end of the spectrum, the French Le Parfait jars just have a screw on lid. Le Parfaits are definitely the easiest due to less parts, but I do find something about the Weck jars so stylish! I tried out their jam, juice, and sourdough jars. Although I need to continue working on my sourdough bread techniques, I have sourdough pizza crust down!
I used the Weck jam jars and Le Parfait jars for marmalade! But they're also great for elderberry syrup, homemade dressings, leftovers, and so many other things!

Above is a beautiful picture my husband took of the Le Parfait jar with marmalade in it that we styled for a Cultures For Health Rye Starter Recipe! You can use my affiliate code: SATIATEDBLONDE on their site - they have great sourdough starters and cheese cultures, too!
Below are the sourdough Weck jars aka tulip jars. They really are so pretty!

Pictured above is homemade blood orange juice from unwaxed, organic oranges -- amazing and so delicious! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me sharing how I made this in my stories. I do like having this on hand for homemade juices, but when I don't have any made, I use it as an extra water storage container and another for my cold coffee. Also, it comes with the 3-part lid, but I really do like the optional plastic lids they offer and think they're worth getting, especially when I am in and out of these jars daily.
Oh, and the 1/2 L Mold Jar was featured in Weck's promotional materials! Check out this recipe card that was included in shipped orders featuring how I make mustard:

Of course I still have and use traditional canning jars, of all shapes and sizes but it was so much fun to try out this variety of jars! What are your favorite types of jars to use? Be sure to tell me in the comments and follow me on socials.
