Recently, we had some guests over that we knew liked pineapple and mango smoothies. My husband had the great idea to make one for them. Granted, I like pineapple and I like mango, but the tropical style smoothie would never be my go-to. That being said, I'm sharing this because it was surprisingly SO good and I look forward to making it again! Keep reading to find out how I did it!
Tropical Mango Pineapple Electrolyte Smoothie
I added the following ingredients into my blender (to make four servings)
About two cups of organic frozen mango
Approximately 1 cup of organic coconut meat
1 bottle of organic coconut water
4 scoops of Tropical Paradise Electrolytes (affiliate code: SATIATEDBLONDE)
1 scoop of Mango Re-lyte
2 tbsp organic cane sugar
I blended them all up really well and that was it! Such a refreshing and balanced smoothie. Oh and some colostrum could be added really easily without changing the flavor too much and I think raw milk would be a good substitute for the coconut water to make it a little creamier! Yum! I need to go make this NOW!
...well, I did! Since I started making this, I ran out of mangoes and substituted frozen peaches we got from the local farm. I ran out of Just Ingredients Tropical Paradise Electrolytes and started using their Orange Pineapple. Since then, I've also added frozen watermelon juice when I ran out of coconut water and it's just been the best way for me and my hubby to get some extra nutrients (colostrum, collagen, etc...), stay well hydrated, and to clean out the freezer! Also, I've cut out the cane sugar and it still tastes delicious! The fresh frozen fruit made.a difference in the sweet factor.
