I share a lot about natural fabric clothing, but base layers are often made from fake materials. My skin literally cannot breathe when I have unnatural fibers against my body, especially something like base layers. I found some silk and wool options to share with you!
Silk Base Layers
I was so surprised when I found these! They're perfect to wear under my clothes - sometimes workout clothes, sometimes pajamas, sometimes regular clothes for our winter walks! They're much thinner than any other base layer I've tried before. I found them from Lands' End, where I've found some other natural fabric clothing recently, too!
Here's what I got: Women's Silk Interlock Long Underwear Leggings Pants in Deep Sea Navy, and in the same color I got Women's Silk Interlock Long Sleeve Crewneck Long Underwear Top. They also offer a turtleneck option that I almost purchased instead! They're both 100% silk and washable! I got them for 50% off and they have sales regularly--I think it's worth the wait! They're a wonderful addition to walk, snowshoe, or curl in. And thin enough to wear under my everyday clothes, if it's just a really chilly day. Normally, I would be uncomfortable wearing something under my clothes all day. So glad they make these!
Wool Base Layers
100% lambswool shirt - I don't typically do this, but I picked a blue and gray one up from the men's section. I did look to see if they had a women's alternative, but they didn't, unfortunately! It's super warm and also great for my winter activities. I don't think it is as thin as the silk so this is good when I'm outside or to wear inside under a vest or loose fitting sweater. Curious where I got it from? Check out this post! (link to Costco 3 post coming soon)
