For When It Gets Too Hot

I came across these Prepared Hero products and had to buy them for our home. We have fire extinguishers, but after watching their videos and reading their testimonials, it seemed that the barrier to using these items was low and much easier for contained issues. Keep in mind, I am in no way an expert in this area. I have had my share of close calls in the kitchen, though -- nothing crazy and all was okay, and luckily nothing recent. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but want to get these for an added safety precaution. I got both the blanket and spray for several areas of our home.

Fire Blanket - I like the little keyhole at top that allows it to hang for easier access. It's lightweight, easy to use, and doesn't expire, which are all great bullet points from their website. This blanket can address many types of fires including grease and electric, as long as the fire is smaller than the blanket itself. They have a standard size and XL size.

Hero Fire Spray - Their site states this stops small fire fast and is easy to just aim and spray. It also states their formula is biodegradable and non-toxic. I like having the spray and blanket options next to each other. Next time I go camping I'll be sure to bring this with me, I actually didn't think about that until now!

Since I've purchased, I notice they have other options - a dry stop and vapor clean spray. I have no idea when to use those vs. the fire spray I purchased, since it was the only option at the time. I have emailed their customer service and here's their response:

"Our Hero Fire Spray, Dry Stop Fire Spray, and Vapor Clean Fire Spray are different types of fire suppressant sprays with varying features, capabilities and sizes.

-Hero Fire Spray is the most compact and uses a biodegradable formulation.

-Vapor Clean Fire Spray is non-toxic and uses a water-based formula.

-Dry Stop Fire Spray is foam-based and has a longer shelf life.

Each is designed for specific classes of fires and it's important to read the instructions to ensure proper use."

I still don't completely understand the differences between all of them, so if you do, feel free to share with me in the comments! Also, there are other companies with similar products, this is just the one I happened to purchase through. I am not affiliated, just like to share all my lifestyle finds and things that are new to me here! As always, #GetSatiated.
